| The domestic game is generally a competition between the big teams of La Paz (Bolivar, The Strongest), Oriente Petrolero of Santa Cruz and Wilstermann of Cochabamba. The overall quality of the national league would be considered relatively poor when compared with that of Argentina and Brazil. In international competitions such as the Copa Libertadores, Bolivar have seen some success in recent years but this has been due mainly to the advantage that the altitude of La Paz in the two-legged ties. The stadium sits at over 3,500m above sea level! Youth football tends to be dominated by the Tahuichi Football School in Santa Cruz. The boast success around the world, winning international youth championships and a large majority of the national team were developed in their program. The real "success" of the Tahuichi program has been placed in doubt due to allegations of alleged doctoring of player birth certificates to allow them to compete in a lower age category!
